UDI (Unified Display Interface) is an upcoming display interface standard expected to replace today's aging VGA connectivity while providing compatibility with DVI and HDMI standards. A number of PC and Consumer Electronics companies, including Apple, are involved in determining the specifications for the upcoming interface standard,
Expected features:
- High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection support
- 16 Gb/s Bandwidth [1]
- To be finalized in the second quarter of 2006 [2]
