ActivEdit usable with Intel imac

Interested in knowing if the Intel imac is compatible with ActivEdit content management tools. So far ActivEdit claims it is usable via Safara but is not. Thanks for any early discoveries. Apparently, ActiveX is the part that the macs have trouble with -- that ActivEdit utilizes.

Thank you! Craig Murden murdenc@queens.edu

I would suggest asking your question in the Forums instead of here; that way, quite a few more people will see the question.

Title change needed

The Intel iMac, being officially called the iMac, should be renamed to iMac (Intel). Is the iMac G5 called the IBM PowerPC iMac in the Guides?

I agree. I've already linked to this page from the iMac page as it is an iMac and not an "Intel iMac". Yes, it uses an Intel chip but it is STILL AN iMAC! Does anyone else agree with the above poster that it should be iMac (Core Duo) instead of Intel iMac? --Mechcozmo 19:12, 25 January 2006 (EST)

Someone just added an edit that the Core Duo was "64-bit". Officially it's a 32-bit chip. there's been unsubstantiated talk of it being 64-bit, but unless something more official comes out. I think we have to stick with official specs. I'm reverting. --Arn 00:33, 12 February 2006 (EST)

I also think that this should be renamed iMac (intel). You can't just call it iMac because that's the name for the iMac G3. So, admin? anyone? CHANGE THE NAME NOW!

In one or two years it might need to be changed to iMac (Intel Core), then the new iMacs would be on a page iMac (Intel whatever the successor to the Core microarchitecture is). I'm guessing that would split them off enough to make the articles a reasonable size. --Blizzardbomb 10:34, 6 August 2007 (EDT)

Bad links

Some of the external links talk about g4s and g3 iMacs. Why are they here? this is the iMac (intel) article, not the All Imacs article.

Bad information

the imac g5 with isight can either do 1.5 GB or 2.5 GB, but since it's DDR2, i'm inclined to say 2.5 GB, but i know for a fact that either way, its not 2GB like this article says, because there is 512MB built in, and one slot. i am running 1.5 GB because i added a 1 GB stick to my 20" imac g5 isight. please someone fix this with the correct information, whatever it is.

We need more confirmation that there is not a firmware limit before we contradict Apple's information. --Longofest 12:35, 6 March 2006 (EST)

Changes

I've added the table of new specs for the rev C model, but other changes including the image still need doing Eraserhead 16:48, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
