Co-Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates' history with Apple has gone from friendly to contentious. Microsoft's release of Office for Mac was their biggest product since DOS. In the late 80s, Microsoft's release of a Windows which mimicked the Mac OS caught the ire of Mac users everywhere. Bill Gates' comment that he and Jobs both broke into XeroxPARC and that Apple was angry that he had stolen things first made him hated.
