A: Please visit this site for information on how to invoke cut, copy and paste: http://www.butterscotch.com/tutorial...With-IPhone-30

Q: When I first installed OS 3.0, in the App Store, there was a tab at the bottom saying "MORE". The next day, this tab was gone. What happened? How can I redeem an application promotion code now?

A: On June 18th, Apple removed the "MORE" tab from the shortcut list in the App Store. It was replaced by the "UPDATES" tab. To now redeem an application promotion code, enter iTunes on your device, select "MORE" and then select "REEDEM". Then, enter the code for the specific application.

Q: In the "Maps" application, I see that certain areas have the option of Street View and others don't. Is this a bug or not? Why do only some areas have this option of viewing?

A: At this time, not all areas are supported on Street View. This is not a bug and Apple does not even control this. Their information is given by Google. If your area is not supported, you can report it to Google and see if they are planning on adding it to your area.

Q: How can I enable the battery percentage meter on my device and is this option only for the iPhone 3G S?

A: To enable the battery percentage meter on your iPhone 3G S, first go to "SETTINGS". Then, go to "GENERAL" and select "USAGE". There should then be an option to flip on "BATTERY PERCENTAGE". Flip the switch and you should now have the percentage of remaining battery next to the battery image in the top right corner. At this time, only the iPhone 3G S can access the battery percentage meter, but this feature may be added in future updates.

Q: When I plug my device into a docking station with speakers, the volume adjustment bar disappears. Why is this? Is this a bug?

A: No, it is not a bug. The docking station that you plugged the device into now controls the volume of the device. This is not an issue and will not be corrected. Once you unplug the device, the volume adjustment bar should fade back in.

Q: Why is my microphone not being found my by Voice Memos?

A: Make sure that the microphone/headphones with microphone is plugged in BEFORE you enter the application. If it is not plugged in, the application will not recognize the microphone.

Q: When in Safari and the keyboard is out, the application will not turn to landscape or to portrait. Why is this?

A: If the keyboard is out, Safari will not turn the orientation. Safari has always been like this. The same goes for when you are browsing bookmarks. However, the Mail and Notes applications do turn with the keyboard out. It is still unknown if this was meant or is a bug.

Q: Why is Shake to Shuffle not working?

A: First, make sure it is enabled by going to "SETTINGS". Then, "MUSIC" and make sure Shake to Shuffle is turned ON. Next, make sure that you are playing a song when you are trying to use Shake to Shuffle. Finally, make sure you are shaking hard enough to activate Shake to Shuffle. In future updates, there might be sensitivity options.

Q: Why has my device been running very slow since downloading 3.0? Why have applications been slow, not launching or crashing?

A: Please restart the device, sync it to your computer and restart it once again and the device should be running faster. The reason for applications having problems is because the application is not yet compatible with 3.0 or has not been tested in the 3.0 environment. This also goes for when exiting an application. Please wait for the developer to issue an update to their application. This is not a bug or issue with 3.0! You may want to report this to the developer and have them issue an update. Make sure to update applications (once updates have been released)!

Q: Why is my accessory shown as not compatible with 3.0

A: Apple is still working on drivers for accessories for 3.0 and not all accessories will be supported at this point in time. Stay tuned for updates from Apple about driver information. The same goes for accessories not working

Q: What can I do to improve my device's battery life?

A: Please look at the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVU4SFThntU

Notes:

1. "I found a kind of workaround to having iPod Controls on and Spotlight on at the same time. While pressing the Home Button once takes you back to the first page and another press will then take you to Spotlight. If you press the Home Button while the pages are sliding by then it will take you to Spotlight instead of stopping at the first page. This works better if you have 6-9 pages of applications." (Pgohlke)

2. "Also, minor concern but me being about aesthetics, I've noticed that music videos began appearing in my Cover Flow. In any 2.x.x firmware, they did not appear if they were labeled without an album name. In 3.0 however, they appear no matter what." (dark-saito)

3. "I installed 3.0 (via Restore), and synced all my music. I then imported a new CD that I bought today, connected the iPod, and it didn't copy the new songs across. I selected the iPod under Devices and manually clicked the Sync button, and it proceeded to delete all of the music off my iPod." (Nermal)

4. Multiple users have said that restoring their devices to 3.0 will resolve many issues. If you are having issues, you can try restoring your device by following this tutorial: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=603129

5. "In previous OS forms, I only had to type ###-#### in as my phone number for it to bring up who I was trying to call. Now, in 3.0, it only brings up who it is I'm calling if I type #-###-###-####..." (skabadelic)

6. "I am using OS 3.0 and i cannot enter the Calendar Settings. I touch Settings and then Mail, Contacts, Calendars and two things happen: I have two mail accounts created which are displayed correctly but following appear two empty accounts which are displayed incorrectly on the screen When I scroll down to look for Calendar settings it does not go further than the Always Bcc Myself option and if i try to scroll futher down, it goes back to the home screen..." (scallop)

RESOLUTION: "Sounds like your mail sync settings and/or signature may have something in it causing the settings app to crash. Back up your phone by syncing, and then try this on the phone: Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings If that doesn't fix it, you may have to fiddle around with the Info tab in iTunes to try replacing the data on the phone, or as a last resort, restore the phone as a new device (in case the backup is somehow corrupted)" (flurffmeister)

7. "Start playing music. Now, change the volume and keep your finger on the volume slider - DO NOT remove it. Now, tilt your phone so that it goes into cover flow. The device mutes. This happens regardless of which way you tilt the device to get into cover flow." (Ivan P)
