Apple iMac G5
Introduced in September 2004 it was another complete redesign of the iMac casing, the iMac G5 had all computer components set behind the screen instead of inside a base like the iMac G4.
Description
This iMac was Apple's first "consumer" Mac with a G5 processor. This change made the iMac more powerful than Apple's PowerBook G4 laptop line, which still used the G4 chip. In addition to this, the new iMac had one more FireWire port then the iMac G4 before it, but had the same amount of Video RAM, 64 MB, which was later increased with the release the Rev B iMac G5. Also, the iMac G5 lost a substantial amount of weight when it moved away from the heavy base that the G4 needed to hold up the screen.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were both still options to add to the iMac G5.
