Woodcrest
From Mac Guides
Woodcrest is the name of Intel's latest server processor. From an architecture point-of-view, Woodcrest is a server version of the Core 2 Duo architecture. However, Intel's marketing department have chosen to retain the Xeon-class branding due to strong positive brand awareness of the latter among Enterprise customers. Released on June 26th 2006, this processor is currently used in the Mac Pro in dual-dual 2GHz, 2.66GHz and 3GHz configurations.
