is there a way to centralize images or text?

Is Plist the best name for this?

I'll change it to preference file.

I'm leaning towards something like "property lists and preferences" with a couple redirects pointing there. Plists are used for all kinds of things, but they all work the same way (with the only big difference being that the defaults command is geared to user prefs).
