Talk:EFI

Theres really no point in listing OS's that don't run on EFI... If we actually took this seriously and drew out all the OS's that didn't support EFI we would doubtless be running into the thousands, if not tens of thousands.......
- If we keep it to the basics it should be fine. currently it mentions some linux distro's do and some dont - seems ok to me. I don't think we'll have any problems TMA 11:57, 23 January 2006 (EST)
- Actually there really is no point, also the "Some Linux Distributions" is too vague, especially since you have it listed under both those that don't and those that do, I think if you're going to mention Linux-based operating systems at all, then at least select from a handful of popular ones (Debian, Gentoo, Ubuntu, SUSE, Red Hat, and Slackware come to mind), find out if they support it or not and put them under the list. Actually I might do it myself, but if I do then I'm just going to completely removed the OSs that don't because it's redundant. --Sebastianlewis 21:31, 30 May 2008 (EDT)

Apple Software?
EFI isn't really Apple Software, and so it doesn't fit in the Apple Software category.--Longofest 16:29, 26 January 2007 (EST)
