QuarkXpress is an industry standard page-layout and design software for print and web. It was first released in 1987 for the Mac only, but now supports both Mac OS X and Windows.


Current version: QuarkXpress 6.5 (6.0 was the first version to run on Mac OS X 10.3 or later)

Features: Layout synchronisation, multiple undo/redo, XML and web page features, support for direct PDF output, PSD import.

QuarkXpress 7.0 on public beta release until March 31st, 2006. (runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher)
