Overview
The Power Macintosh G4 with Gigabit Ethernet was the first Macintosh to come with 10/100/1000-BaseT networking. This was also the first Power Macintosh to sport dual G4 processors, which were in an odd state of limbo due to OS 9's poor multiprocessor support and the fact that OS X had not yet been released. Thus, only a small number of applications took advantage of the second CPU until OS X's release. This model did support Airport networking.
