Usage In Current Macs
The Mac Pro has BTO options of a GeForce 8800 GT or the workstation graphics card - the Quadro FX 5600. Meanwhile, the Macbook Pro uses the NVIDIA 8600M GT with 256MB VRAM for the low-spec 15" model and 512MB VRAM for all other models since February of 2008.

NVIDIA's main competitor is ATI, who produce Radeon and Fire graphics cards.
