Michael Scott

Michael Scott was the first CEO of Apple Computer, beginning his tenure in February 1977 and continuing until March 1981 when he was demoted to vice chairman. At this time, he was replaced by Mike Markkula, who had originally hired Scott at CEO.

Scott famously declared in 1979 that there would be no typewriters at Apple.
