The Performa series was targetted at home users. These computers shipped using a wide variety of different designs and architectures. Most models supported (either built-in or as options) multimedia devices, including TV tuners, radio tuners, and video capture devices.

Many models were also sold with other names.

Performa 6300CD

Introduced in 1995, the Performa 6300CD was one of many of the Apple Performa line. The 6300CD, and the Performa line as a whole, were meant to be a low cost computers. The Performa 6300CD came bundled with a 15-inch Display, and a wide range of basic consumer programs. The Performa 6300CD also had a variant, the 6300/120 which used a 120 Mhz processor, instead of a 100 Mhz processor.

Successor

The Performa 6300CD was replaced by the Performa 6360 in 1996. (The Performa 6300CD was officially terminated in 1997) The Performa 6360 was radically different from the previous Performa's because it was a PCI based motherboard.
