MacRumors is the largest Apple-based website. The site attracts over 35 million worldwide page views per month, 5 million of which unique. The MacRumors Forums have an large and active membership base with over 178,000 members and 5 million posts and growing.

History

MacRumors.com was started in February of 2000 by founding member Arnold Kim. Initially implemented using PHPSlash (a PHP port of Slashdot), the site moved to a custom front-end to vBulletin in 2001.
