30" widescreen displays typically offer a massive 2560x1600px (~4.1megapixels).

Models

There are currently six models on the market or announced:


  • 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display. Stunning aluminum profile. The world’s first high-resolution 30-inch display. Dual-link DVI. 14ms grey-grey response. 400 cd/m2 brightness. 700:1 contrast ratio. MSRP $1999(USD) / £1549(GBP) / €2299(EU). M9179B.
  • Dell UltraSharp 3007wfp. Fast response time, high contrast ratio and ultra-high resolution. Dual-link DVI with HDCP. 12ms grey-grey response. 400 cd/m2 brightness. 700:1 contrast ratio. MSRP $1899 (USD) / £1471(GBP) / €2179(EU). Panel manufactured by LG.
  • Samsung 305t. Very fast response time (6ms grey-grey) and high contrast ratio (1000:1). 400cd/m^2 brightness. No HDCP. Samsung panel. Expected to ship July 2006.
  • BenQ FP301W. 11ms grey-grey response, 700:1 contrast ratio, 400cd/m^2 brightness. Thought to be using the LG panel. Expected to ship Q4 2006.
  • QUIXUN M30W. 12ms response time, 400:1 contrast ratio. At just $1728, it is much cheaper than the Apple and Dell models. picture
  • HP LP3065.. 1000:! contrast ratio, 300cd/m^2 brightness. Expected to ship Q4 2006 with a price tag under $2000.
