Dashcode is an Apple development tool for creating Dashboard widgets. It came with the development tools included with some MacBooks, however was not included in the latest downloadable version of the Xcode Tools (version 2.3). At WWDC 2006, Dashcode was revealed to be a feature of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
Features include:
- Design, develop and debug Dashboard widgets
- Templates
- Visual CSS editor
- Parts library - includes parts such as search fields that can be dropped into a widget
- Full JavaScript debugger
