Core 2 Extreme QX9300
From Mac Guides
The Core 2 Extreme QX9300 will be Intel's first true mobile quad core processor. Laptop vendors have used desktop processors in laptop form factors in the past to provide desktop replacement quad core options. [1] In Late 2007 Intel announced that it would be preparing a mobile quad core processor for desktop replacement laptops. [2] It will be based off of Intel's 45nm process like other Penryn derived processors. HKEPC reports that the Core 2 Extreme QX9300 will use Socket P but this has not been confirmed. [3] It is more than likely not compatible with Santa Rosa based motherboards. The Core 2 Extreme QX9300 will more than likely only be available for the Montevina platform.
