Conroe

Conroe is one of Intel's latest consumer desktop processors based on the "Core" Microarchitecture and was launched on July 27th 2006 alongside Allendale and Merom. No Mac products use this processor at the moment.

The first performance numbers released by Intel claim that Conroe will offer 40% more performance at 40% less power consumption than the Pentium D 950.
