Clovertown

Clovertown is a current Intel server processor based on the Core Microarchitecture. It is a quad-core version of Woodcrest, consisting of two Woodcrest dies on a multi-chip module. Clovertown Xeon DP processors are quad-core and multi-processor enabled. Intel released Clovertown on November 14, 2006.

Future Developments
The X5365, running at 3.00GHz with a 1333MHz FSB, is expected to be announced in July 2007 at a price of $1172 in volume quantities.[1] This is supposedly the chip that is used in Apple's first 8-core Mac Pro, released April 4, 2007.
