The Centris was a short-lived line of Macintosh computers sold in 1993, containing just 3 models. As suggested by its name, it was aimed at the central part of the market, between the low-end consumer Performa line and the high-end professional Quadra line.

However, the Centris name was thought to be confusing to users, so the line was soon discontinued. The Centris 610 and 650 were soon replaced by the faster Quadra 610 and 650 models, while the Centris 660AV was renamed to the Quadra 660AV without any changes.
