Apple introduced its LED-backlit Apple Cinema Display at Apple's October 2008 notebook event. LED increases efficency and is immediately at full brightness meaning there is no warm up. It features the Mini Displayport connector which is used on all of Apple's current notebooks. It also includes 3 powered USB ports and a MagSafe power connector which adds the capability to charge all of the MacBook (Late 2008 and up) family. The display is glossy, which improves contrast, but may also increase reflections and glare. The Cinema Display includes an iSight Camera that will automatically switch over once an iSight Apple notebook is plugged in.
