Apple TV (alternatively tv, and known originally by its codename, iTV) is Apple's set-top box, which started shipping in March 2007. It was originally announced by Steve Jobs at a special event on September 12, 2006 (dubbed "It's Showtime"), and subsequently shown at Macworld San Francisco 2007.

Apple TV enables the streaming of content from any computer with iTunes to a television. It resembles a Mac mini in form, but has a smaller height.
